Who Needs A Fitness Center?

By Erin Dix

With today's hectic and fast paced lifestyles it can sometimes be hard to find time to go to a gym or fitness center to work out. It is good to know that you can do workouts in your own house at your leisure that are both effective and easy to do. Here are a few basic exercises that are key components to any workout regiment and can get you started very quickly.

1. Push ups are great for building or sculpting your chest, shoulders and your core(abs). Try to do as many as you can in three different sets.

2. Chin ups are an excellent exercise for your back muscles and your biceps. This is a pulling exercise that requires strength and determination. These are hard to do but with practice they can really improve your strength and improve your physique. Close grip chin ups with your hands facing you and wide grip chin ups can be rotated on each set.

3. Squats or deep knee bends are critical for building strong and explosive leg strength as well as your core. These can be done with two legs by simply bending down to a 90 degree angle while keeping your back straight and head facing forward.
Three Sets of 20 repetitions are a good start and after some practice you can try and do more reps in future workouts. If you are quite strong the one legged squat is more challenging and can produce great results.

4. For Cardio a good old fashioned jog can do the trick, but if you don't want to leave the house some burpees are an extremely good workout and can really get the heart rate going.

So there you have it, these exercises can be easily done at home with no cost or monthly fees. Try these exercises three or four times a week and only forty five minutes a day will produce good results. Remember to drink lots of water, eat healthy and you will be fit in no time.
